Z-Heavy blew out a milky plume of sporo-vapor into sweltering night sky. It mingled briefly with the exaust from Neo-Delphia's boron processors then fled into nonthingness. Veruca Tristane, crypto-heiress and 47th degree Space-Mason, lay sated and asleep on the vibro-bed behind him, her soft purring snore periodically reminding Z that she was still there. Suddenly, there was a shriek and Z turned to find Veruca's delicate frame explode into dozens of writhing shape-shifting Trilo-bytes, all begging for another go in that infuriating Neo-Delphian accent or hers. 
"Oh well", thought Z, flicking the crushed butt of his vapo-tube off the balcony. "I've had worse Kronsday nights."
